Program set for Specialized Reporting Institute

The programming for the Grading the Teachers conference is complete. The Specialized Reporting Institute will take place May 8-10 in Detroit at the Detroit Media Partnership.

This institute is funded by the Robert R. McCormick Foundation, working with The Poynter Institute for Media Studies. It is being organized by the Michigan State University School of Journalism and The Education Trust-Midwest.

About 20 reporters from nine different states will attend the event, which seeks to help journalists understand and frame the quickly changing issues of teacher evaluation.
